FAMILY PICTURES!

We got our family pictures a few weeks ago!! Heather did such an amazing job, I love how all of them turned out! The only downer: Easton's attention last for about 2 seconds! On the flip side Gracie was our little model and loved all the camera time she was getting! I could not be happier! Thank you Heather! {I recommend her to all of you!!!!!}

She labeled us as the Powell family, I cannot figure out how she even knew that was my maiden name!!!

It's a doosy!

Ok people! Thank you to Donna, both my kids are all tucked in and sound asleep....at her house:) Giving me time to post on my long lost blog!!! BEWARE THIS IS A LONG ONE!
Last week Kristin and Donna and I hosted a Baby Shower for a girl in our ward!! THINK PINK!!! {and Brown and Cream if were going with the theme of the baby shower!} It was so much fun especially working with Kristin who has the same mind set as me when it comes to shower!! Ever last detail was covered right down to the cute little pink Tiffany boxes filled with goodies for the guest!!Can I just say I love the diaper cakes!

Later that night was Matts mom's big 50 birthday party! I had wracked my brain for weeks trying to find the right gift for her! After Brain storming with Donna and Kristin after the baby shower, we came up with the best idea!! A money Tree! {seriously what would I do with out such good friends who help me put these amazing ideas together...Or Donna who has everything in the world to make these ideas possible} I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

We hung 50 one dollar bills and the most amazing jewelry from a jewelry stand! If anyone wants the most amazing Jewelry..."Donna Nicole" is the best!!

Last weekend My sister in Law Brittany was dancing at the Basque Festival! I was so excited to go and expose my kids to a different culture! Since we can't travel the world I'll take what I can get! They had you purchased "script" money, then you used the script money to pay for food, or any of the activities they had! The proceeds went to the nunnery, which was a culture shock in it self!
One of my Favorite Dances!

They had so much fun on all the blow up toys!

Tuesday my bad luck changed...I woke up bright and early so sad that I wasn't going to the "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE TOUR!" For months I debated if I wanted to spend hundreds of dollars to be up close and personal...due to budget and savings it was out of the question!! AHH! I got on KSL hoping to get lucky and find tickets for the SOLD OUT show!! Just my luck I found some decent seats!! After Talking to my friend I bought the tickets! Only to find minutes later 3rd row tickets for 10 bucks more! After selling our tickets and setting up a meeting time to go pick up our new tickets, we get a call from the seller saying his brother had sold the tickets and he didn't know it! S%$@ you can imagine all the words coming out of my mouth!! We had nothing! My heart seriously dropped!! at 4:30 that evening we get a call from the guy who sold us our tickets! He was a ticket broker and felt so bad, he got us hooked up with FRONT ROW and CENTER STAGE tickets!! HOLY @#$^ now you can really imagine what I was saying! I was pee your pants excited! An Hour later me and Mel {My BFF from Deal or No Deal auditions} were off!! I was in a Dream!! They played off us the entire time {they couldn't help it, we were the giants right up front and center...you couldn't miss us! Oh and Mel is Drop dead gorgeous!!!!} Gev fell right in love with Mel, and even told her "he loved her" from the stage!! It doesn't get much better than that...or does it?? The whole thing was amazing and to our disappointment it had to come to an end! As we were leaving and pouting because we wanted to meet them, I struck up conversation with this 60 year old man and his wife! After minutes of talking he took his back stage pass off and stuck it right on me...gave me a hug and said "have a good time!" AHHHH! Then his wife turned to Mel and did the same thing!! As we were waiting to go back stage, we started to talk to some people who after awhile told us they were Thaynes parents!! Can I just say I love Thayne...his mannerisms are identical to Matts!! They took us around and introduced us to all the dancers and his cousin took pictures for us! {Both are cameras died before the concert started...ok that was unlucky!} She was the cutest girl and we all instantly bonded {We better do lunch soon!} When I get the pictures from her I'll post them ASAP! Seriously pinch me...I think it was a dream! { I forgot Gev Perposed to Mel! Watch out Adam!}

Wednesday was Matts and I's 4 year anniversary! Against all odds we made it! Can I just say it is the getting better and better! I suprised him and took him to the DESERT STAR! {for anyone from Idaho it is just like the Play Mill theature!} Since we had gotten married, he said he wanted to take me there! It was perfect and he was clueless up until we pulled into the parking lot! We finished it off, with watching season one of the office!!! I was going to dedicate a post just for him, but words can not explain the love I have for him...:)! Can I just say he truely is the most amazing person...if you've met him, you know it!! I LOVE YOU BABE!
Tonight {Thursday} I pulled it off...a suprised birthday party! Maybe I pulled it off because I put it together at 9 o'clock last night! I took him to dinner, Donna and her daughter Devyn took my kids, and Kristin went to work decorating my house!! While eating dinner Matt decided he wanted to go shopping after for his birthday...crap crap crap! I was ready to pull my hair out worried I couldn't pull this off! After dinner I told him, I wasn't feeling well! I had to get a few things at the dollar store, while there I figured out our escape to go back home! "Matt I have to....{really I shouldn't blog this but it's good!} Poo!" I won't go into detail on all that was said but hey it got us home!!! One thing I figured out tonight is I know how to improvise! We had fun with a "Get to know Matt" game!! I couldn't of done this yet again with out the help of Kristin and Donna! THANK YOU THANK YOU!

5 Things I love about Matt:
*Right when he gets home from work, he is there to help me! Regardless of his day he comes home happy and leaves his work at work!
*This is a shallow...I love how he dresses! He is way Metro but oh so HOT!
*He works so hard to make our marriage work! I can not tell you how amazed I have been lately, he does everything and anything to make me happy!
*He is a hard hard worker! I could not go to work like him every day with the motivation to do what he does!
* He is the preisthood holder in our home! And he uses it! He makes sure we say our prayers and read our scriptures to keep the spirit in our home!
The list goes on and on...Matt I LOVE YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Tomorrow: Bring on the circus!! And for Matt: Ultimate fighting!!
I leave you with yet another picture that makes me laugh!
My sleeping Beauty!

Picture of the day!

Ramblings...and many pictures!

I am so behind on blogging my everyday adventures I don't know where to start! Now that my sister in law Brittany has a blog, I'm dedicating a part of this post to her and her hubby Mike! I took many of these pictures off her blog...she is becoming quite the photographer! Her and Mike have taken Gracie camping a number of times this summer and I haven't made a post about it yet! Gracie absolutely adores her uncle Mike and Aunt Brittany, and Loves going camping with them! This last week they took both Easton and Gracie with their cousin Cole, to build a camp fire! The pictures speak for them selves. {Really Brittany you don't need kids, you can take my kids anytime...come one sounds appealing right!??}
How to cook a marshmallow, by Easton: Hold hand directly in front of you, and approximately 5 feet from the actual flame for a few seconds, then lick and repeat.
3 Weeks ago they took Gracie up past Oakley to go camping! Matt and I are trying to teach Gracie the importance of physical activity! We only have a t.v. to watch movies on and we'll hold off as long as we can getting any type of gaming system! Gracie put our teachings into play this weekend, taking Mike and Brittany on probably a few to many hikes! She came home covered in dirt and exhausted , but boy she had a fun weekend!

Thank you Brittany! You have no idea how much I appreciate you and Mike! It is so important to me that my kids stay close to all of my family!
We've had such an exciting summer it hit me like ton of bricks when Gracie started Preschool! I don't know what it is but I've been extra sentimental when it comes to my family lately! Not only is Miss Tammy, Gracie's Teacher she also is my second mom! I lived there for a while when I attended hair school! Tammy and her husband got me through some of the roughest moments in my life! Gracie also is in the same year of school as Jack and Austin my 2 cousins {we're just like sisters!} little boys! It was so fun to send her off to her first day of preschool! Shockingly enough I didn't shed a tear! Maybe that is because just a few minutes before I locked my kids in the car in the Mall parking lot! Not only did they have to send the police, the whole fricken fire squad, truck and all came to open my car! {I am turning into my mom!} Too bad my camera was locked in the car so I couldn't take a picture!
{She could of acted a little sad to leave me!}
{waiting behind the "line" for all the moms to come!}
{Gracie, Jack and Austin! Ironically all of our second kids will be the same year in school too! HOW FUN!}
{Miss Tammy!}
{I dunno what Austin was doing! These are their cute school bags!}

This last post is a tribute to my neighbor Kristin! I also took this picture off her blog, but I got tears looking at it today, so I decided to make a post on it! {I must be extra hormonal!} Kristin and Jordan FINALLY got all the plans for their house approved! I am grateful we got these few extra months as neighbors and that things didn't work out as planned last time! Jordan and Kristin have changed Matts and I's life for the better! I do not go a day with out talking to Kristin!!! {ok I did once when my mom was here, and I felt weird all day long!} Even though they are moving less than a mile away, things will be a little different! How good it feels to know that I have made myself life long friends! Matt and I had a house come our way in Oakley last month that could of been a good thing, even though it didn't work out, our first thoughts were "we don't want to leave Jordan and Kristin!" Gracie and Easton even have an add on sister Charlie! *we are so excited for you two to get your house, even though I am sad...life must go on! I'm really jealous I won't be your neighbor any more! Ok enough of that, I'm going to enjoy the few months we have left across the street! Here is the cutest picture ever of the 3 cutest kids ever!

*SOMETHING CRAZY: KRISTIN AND MY BROTHER TRAVIS WERE FRIENDS IN COLLEGE, AND WE ONLY DISCOVERED THIS THE OTHER DAY! SHE EVEN PULLED OUT HER SCRAPBOOK TO SHOW ME ALL THE PICTURES WITH HIM! THAT JUST SHOWS WE WERE MEANT TO BE LIFE LONG FRIENDS! IT STARTED BEFORE WE EVEN KNEW IT!

First of all THANK YOU all for the love and support I was given this past week! From the Cards, phone calls, care packages and someone filling my car up with gas!!! I truly was touched! I had spent an hour trying to write down what took place during my emotionally filled week but my words seemed so inadequate and unworthy to even describe what took place last weekend!
Here are the key points that I will forever remember:
1. My Grandma: never have I looked at my Grandma how I looked at her this weekend. I had always believe my Mom had gotten her strong nature from my Grandpa, but I now know it was my Grandma who taught her to be so tough! My Grandma was a Rock, but yet so vulnerable. My Grandma is a quieter lady, that keeps things to herself! I was so grateful at the viewing I was able to sit by her and just listen, listen to her vent about her worries! It was a moment I will never for get!
2. Gracie: for knowing so little, she knows so much! Those he cried she cared for, and she truly ached for them! She was aware what was around her, but confused at what was going on: People were talking at the viewing and Gracie told them to be quiet because Grandpa was sleeping. She at one time during the fewing asked if he had a bald hair cut!! I am so unworthy to have this little girl.
3. Easton: How could I put one child and not the other. No words were spoken, but many kisses and hugs were given! I love my little bubs!
4. My family: I love my family so much, even though events were sad to bring us all together I was so grateful to get to see all my brothers and sisters! {minus chanse, he was there in spirit!} I have the most amazing family, in laws included! My family is the most unique family in so many ways but one thing I am grateful for is we all support each other. There is no fighting and none of the crazy drama you hear of! I wish one day we could all live closer! I felt so empty when we all left!
5. My mom: This is the first time I have seen my mom not have her emotions under control. She was so close to my Grandpa. The hardest part of this weekend was seeing my mom and other family members suffering!
6. I had the opportunity to cut my Grandpas hair {or what hair he had!} My Grandma was hesitant to ask me but I was grateful she did! My mom came in with me, it was such a sweet time I got to spend alone with my Grandpa even though it was for just a moment!
7. We went to an horse auction my Grandpa had lined up before he had died! One of my best friends dad was the auctioneer and did an amazing tribute honoring my grandpa, while one of my grandpas hired hands brought his horse in!
8. This is the only funeral I'd been to where you laughed for the majority of it! I wish everyone had the opportunity to meet my Grandpa, he was the funniest person I know! If you met him for a minute, it turned into an incredible adventure! While my mom and aunt were putting together his life sketch one of my Grandpas friends walked in and said if someone were to read this they would think someone had made all this up! My dad was one of the speakers, every time I hear him speak I get chills, He was the last speaking, bringing the spirit so strongly into the room it almost felt tangible! All the Grandkids were asked to sing at the funeral, from the beginning I didn't think was the smartest idea...Thank You to my sister in law Diana, she was the only one composed enough to finish singing the song! {my sister talks about this picture on her blog! No body loved my Grandpa more than my brother Jeff. So Heartbreaking!}
9. My cousins and I went over to the farm after the funeral to get pictures on my Grandpas Hay Bails. My cousins Kayli and Jill are two of my best friends. We grew up just like sisters, and to this day we are closer then ever! We loved to go play at the farm, one of our favorite things to do was climb to the top of the stacked hay and play up there!
10. Branching off with my family, I want to talk about my sisters! I would love to be half as amazing as ALL my sisters are. My sister Brittney is so tender hearted. I don't think I saw her stop crying the whole weekend...due to worry for those around her! My sister Kimri is the toughest of us all, she takes charge and gets things done, I try so hard to do half of what she does but it is impossible! My sister {in law} Dianna, she was such a trooper and there for my brother! She would be a mans dream wife! She puts my brother first, and made sure this weekend was about him, and not what she wanted: even if it meant she missed out on something she would like to do! Angela {in law} even though she wasn't able to make it I know how hard it was for her to see Travis leave again! His work takes him all over the place and the moments they have together are so few! I was so Grateful for her to be so willing to let Travis come be with his family during this time!
11. Lastly I can not can not say enough about Matt. How did I ever find someone like him? I can not even begin to describe how grateful I am to have him in my life! {I am crying just thinking about it!} He was purely amazing this week doing whatever he could to help me out. But this goes far past this week! He is always doing to thing to make our marriage even better! I love him so much! During the funeral it was mentioned many times how much my Grandpa cared for my Grandma, and how much he respected and loved her! I know with out doubt that Matt fills that for me, How wonderful that feels!
I feel so detached right now after sitting at my computer now for 2 hours and it is now 1'oclock in the morning! There are so many more memories, these were the few that really touched me this weekend! I leave with pictures that describe my weekend!{My cute niece Alex before!}
{And after...she donated her hair to locks of love!}
{Jeff and Addy on my Grandpas horse at the auction!}
{This picture is priceless...I hope my kids remember moments like this!}
{I don't know why Bubs is in the saucer....but hey what the heck is Jay doing??}
"Life is not a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving in a well preserved body
. . .but rather to skid in broadside,
used up,
worn out and
loudly proclaiming,
"Wow, what a ride!"
