Joshua James!

Last week I got a call to come do the makeup for a music video, by an up and coming artist Joshua James! He truly was amazing and so inspiring! I feel in love with his music the second I heard him sing! It was such a fun, but nerve racking day! Here is the only 2 photos I got of our work. My camera was dead so this was taken on my camera phone...there for it didn't do the pictures justice!

Orphan Child!

My days usually consist of me chasing Gracie around our neighborhood with merely her underwear on! I beg and plead for her to keep her pants on but she is simply "TOO HOT!" Tonight I got home from our ward "girls night out" to find little orphan Gracie not only in Eastons pants but put on backwards! She somehow manage to put matts socks on upside down, or backwards?? Not only does she have a helmet hair cut {she's cut it herself twice now!} But now she has to dress dorky too!

{WaHWeap!}

The history behind the name "Wahweap" (for anybody who's really interested)-the Native Americans gave it the name which means "Bitter Water". Apparently, Wahweap only had water flowing in it during spring run off, or during the monsoon season in the summer. The water would stagnate in pools and become unsafe to use. It is thought they named it Wahweap as a warning to the children and to other's passing through of the danger of the stagnant water. (Thanks to our awesome house boat launcher for that explanation!) {Taken off Krisin's Blog!}

Boating, Eating, sleeping, Eating, hiking, eating, surfing, eating, wakeup boarding, eating! That seemed to be the trend for us in Lake Powell. I don't even know where to begin to tell my stories of Lake Powell!
We had the most amazing time and we were so blessed to go with such an amazing family!
I had never been to Lake Powell before but the only way to describe it is Moab full of water! It was so beautiful...I really have never seen anything like that before!
Our days were so eventful if we weren't on the water, we were on a hike! I felt like a little school girl...I was so excited for our many adventures! We caught tons of lizards and we even caught a pregnant lizard (who would of thought!) Jordans dad is a super hiker, so it was an adventure in itself to hear him talk about every plant and animal!
I learned how to surf...I had no idea you could surf behind a boat!!! It seriously was the coolest thing I have ever seen!
Matt was a pro at the Wake board...he had only gone once before this, you would of thought he had done this for years! It was so fun to watch him! But I have to say I was most impressed with Kristin! With much persuasion from me she finally tried out wake boarding...after 3 times she was up! YEAH KRISIN!
Thankyou Nelson Family for such a fun vacation!
*More pictures to come...

Pray!

My sister in Law is going in to have her second baby on April 27th! (1 year and 2 months after having and losing baby Kevin!) Please pray for her, she is having major anxiety after what happened last time! Hang in there Lyndsay! Only two more weeks and you'll have your little baby!

MOTHERS DAY!

I don't think I can adequately explain how I feel today being a mother! It's been a day of not only reflection on when I had my children but a day of Thankfulness! I honestly couldn't imagine if my lives path didn't lead me to having children!
I had Gracie April 9th 2005. Her whole pregnancy was a journey of growth! I had the feelings of excitement, anxiety, and I was beside myself wondering how I could ever be good enough to raise such a special spirit! Her pregnancy was a difficult time in both Matt's and I's life. We grew so much, trying to prepare for her to come join us here and earth! I had numerous blessings for my health, from my dad, Matts dad and Matt, even Matt's cousin offered me one. I remember one night where I was waiting to die, I had dwindled to nothing and I really thought "that was it!"
I was in Labor for technically 3 days! I had a kidney infection that was causing contractions every 3 minutes....but it wasn't real labor, I was assured after getting Morphine put in my rear every 6 hours, it would cause me to go into active labor! Sure enough on April 9th at 1:00 a.m. I felt the gush of wetting the bed! Matts family rushed to the hospital! (we thought this would be a quick gig!) We had a fun day of games, getting a manicure, and a few unexpected sound coming from me! (What can ya do when you're numb down there!) After 3 easy pushes at 4:OO P.M. Our little Gracie was born! I can't even describe the spirit in the room that day! She was beautiful! I was so grateful to share that day with Lyndsay, Brittany and Matt's mom! (My mom had the flu!) Gracie was the best baby in the world...I think Heavenly Father used her as a trick to have a second baby!
(Gracie and I at the Hospital!)
Easton a suprise baby! I'm beginning to think that is a trend with Matt and I! But non the less we were so excited! That was until sickness hit! I wasn't near as sick with Easton as I was with Gracie. But sick enough I didn't know how I would get through yet another I.V. stricken Pregnancy! We were told Easton was a girl at our first ultra sound! He was named baby "Brylee" To our shock at our second ultra sound something grew and there was no denying he was a boy! I turned to Matt who was in tears so excited saying "I'll have someone to take snowboarding with me!" At 7 months Pregnant we moved back to Utah and awaited the birth of baby "x"
On Jan 1st as I was watching the Ball drop with my mom I had my first contraction! I went to bed hoping I could get some sleep. By 7 that morning we left for the hospital! I was having contractions every 7 minutes but we lived an hour away so we left a little sooner! After Morphin in my rear, we were off to go back home! Matt spent the day snowboarding and my mom and I went to finish some much needed shopping! By 5 o'clock that evening after almost passing out at the Gap outlet, I once again called Matt and told him it was "time!" We arrived to the hospital at 7:30 P.M. I got my meds! After 1 1/2 pushes Easton was born at 10:00 that night! (We laugh because my brother in law Mike went to leave and only got to the door by the time I had Easton!) We were a little shocked by how "white" Easton was! Gracie was so dark and had thick thick black hair and here I had a white, bald baby! He brought so much joy to us that day! It took us up until leaving the hospital to name him Easton! He is now my happy little BUBBA!

I love you Gracie and Easton!

I CAN BREATH!

I love, hate and simply can not wait for days like today to be over! I always get the most amazing sleep after hectic days! I was so sad to have my last "BREAKFAST" with my little Brother Chanse, who entered the MTC today! What an amazing missionary he will be! He hands down is the "Golden" child in my family! (sorry everyone else!) I am so proud of him, but I'm sad to see him go!
I was wrapping Chanses gift today and when I turned around I faced pure Horror! Gracie took my scissors and chopped her hair! ( I had just told my sister a week ago that if she were going to cut her hair she would of done it by now! Knock on wood!) It could of been so much worse. I had to cut her hair just above her shoulders. It was so long and so beautiful! {Ahhhh} is the only word fit for what I am feeling. I asked her why she cut it and and she simply replied: "I just wanted it short!"

(Sorry about the chocolate on her face!)

POSTING FOOL!

I guess I've had a little extra spare time, (ok I'm neglecting my house duties) but I had to post this picture of Gracie! We have these two neighbor kids who always climb this tree. Gracie always wants to do it with them but they are about two feet taller and about 2 years older! I promised her if she was good on our walk today I'd put her in the tree! What joy a 3 year old can get out of something so small!

QUIRKS!

I got this off of my sister Brittneys blog! Britt is scares me sometimes how much alike we are! Besides you being wiser and far more mature, we really do think alike!

1. Unlike my Brittany who color coordinates her clothes, I coordinate mine as follows. {Dresses} long to short. {skirts} {short sleeves} {three quarter}{long sleeves}{Jackets} then they all are arranged in a sub category of lightest to darkest!

2. I have an obsession with deep cleaning! I am not the cleanest person in the world but at any given moment look in my closets, drawers cupboard and it will be clean! (exclude this week, I've lost myself and my whole house is a disaster!)

3. People don't believe that I am a shy person! I make myself be the out going person I am! I usually have turmoil going on inside when I'm in a conversation with a person I'm just getting to know! I feel if I make myself be out going, one day I won't be a bundle of nerves doing so!

4. If there is any type of sweet in my house, even if it is something I don't like, I am the one to eat it! I have a major sweet tooth!

5. I start many new adventures and I never seem to finish ANY of them! I have ideas running through my head constantly! I only hope one day I'm not only the thinker but the accomplisher!

6. I have an obsession with reading! If I start a book I can't put it down regardless of what it is about! I won't start to read a book these days unless I know I have the time, because my children get neglected because I can't put down the darn book!

7. I not only have to wash my hands but us anti bacterial right after! Gracie has had issues with washing her hands these days and it makes me sick to think about!

8. I had never used a public bathroom until Gracie was potty trained! Wal Mart bathroom seems to call her name every time we are there! Needless to say I won't let Gracie touch a thing, and I hold my breath the entire time!

9. I color my hair far too much! I made it a goal to only color it every six weeks! It took months for my ward to realize I wasn't a new person every week! Just the same freak who loves to change her hair every other day!

10. I pick the extra bun off my Hamburgers! The same goes with Choc. Chip cookies! I hate eating the part with out the choc. chips! (Hey who needs those extra calories!)

11. It takes me far too long a wrap a present! I feel that the packaging is just as, if not more important as what is inside!

12. Like you Brittney, I too have conversations with myself! I once was caught talking to myself by my sister Kimri, I was so humiliated I try now to keep it under wraps! This is something we got from our mom, I have caught her once or twice Talking to herself :)

I have far too many quirks to list them all! Hopefully this gives you in site on why I am how I am!

AND >>>>

Because my sister takes pride is giving herself compliments I better not forget to thank Kimri!

{THIS IS ALL WRITTEN BY KIMRI, I FELT I NEEDED TO HUMOR HER!}

"And I forgot my fourth & most important person that I am grateful for...my sister Kimri.

What an amazing person. She inspires me daily to be a better person & without her I don't know where I would be.

Just thinking about her brings a smile to my face. And did I mention how beautiful she is. As a matter of fact if we have a girl next her name will be Kimri."

I love you Kimri!!!!

GRATEFUL SUNDAY!

I stole the idea of "Grateful Sunday" from Mels blog! I thought it was so cute so I decided to do it today! It won't be something I do every week for the fact I usually don't have two seconds to sit down at my computer on Sundays! On this particular day I am grateful for 3 people! (this doesn't mean I'm not grateful for the rest of you, you all have touched me in so many ways!)

{KRISTIN}
I never knew there were people like you on this earth! I know you would disagree but you are the most amazing person and the biggest example to me! You have not only been a great friend but such a great mentor! I was having a bad day today and sure enough you were over to make sure I was ok! You make me want to just BE BETTER! I am so grateful we moved across the street and got to know you Jordan, and Charly better!

{Donna Skopitch}(sp) Donna I know you spy on my blog once in a while so this is for you! For all of the Trials you have in your life you are super woman! You have the most positive attitude! For what you and your family are going through and have yet to go through you never seem to get down and you always are serving others! {For example} Donna was sick so Kristin made dinner and I made dessert for the family! The very next day Donna shows up to say thankyou with a loaf of the most delicious homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies! Thank you Donna for being who you are!

(KRISTIN I STOLE THIS FROM YOUR BLOG!)

{Matt}
Today I had one of my "Jenna" days! I just go go go and then on any random day I just break down, and today happened to be that day! Matt works so hard, but yet he took the kids and gave me my time! Matt knows how to be patient, understanding...I can go on and on! I could of not found a better fit for me especially when I have my "Jenna" moments! Matt Thank you for working so hard, you are the best dad and most of all you are the most amazing husband! I love you!

Thank you all for making me want to be a better person!

I WALKED OUTSIDE TO CHECK ON THE KIDS AND THIS WAS WHAT MATT WAS DOING!
GRACIE THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOST HILARIOUS THING EVER!
